1. Gaming Tools
OnePlus game Space App has received a new icon with OxygenoS 11. Most of its functions are the same as before, but its settings have included a new option called ‘Gaming Tool’. After enabling this option, you can overlay the menu by swipe down in any game with the left and right corner of the screen. With this menu, you can see the system temperature and battery level and it also has a shortcut of WhatsApp, Instagram etc.
2. Always-On Ambient Display
OnePlus smartphone had an ambient display feature for a long time. But after the OxygenOS 11 update, it has included Allways-on Ambient display settings. You go to the settings of your OnePlus 8T smartphone and click on the display and then enable the ambient display. You can set here how long you want an allways-on display, besides you can keep it on forever.
3. Dark Mode
Dark mode options are available in settings with OxygenOS 11 on OnePlus 8T. You can enable this feature using the toggle button by going to the Quick Settings panel. A new shortcut switch has been added for dark mode. Which can be set at a certain time or to be on its own according to sunset and sunrise.
4. New Zen Mode
Zen Mode is a type of digital detox process, by enabling that you will be able to block all calls and notifications for some time. OnePlus allows 5 Suding themes in Zen Mode with OxygenOS 11 update, more time options starting with 1 minute and new group features that allowed to use this Zen mode together with other OnePlus users. This new feature is already present in OnePlus 8, that too without oxygenoS 11 update.
5. Focus Tracking in Camera App
OnePlus 8T has better camera sets, even though it is not separate from OnePlus 8, but you can avail a particularly useful new feature. A new ‘focus tracking’ togle has been added to the camera app settings, as the name understands that it allows the camera to lock the focus on the moving subject. This is a very useful feature, which we have seen in Samsung and Google smartphones before, we are quite happy that now OnePlus has also included it.
6. Accessing notifications with a swipe
If you are the current OnePlus user, you must have accessed the notification shades anywhere on the home-screen. OnePlus 8T comes with a similar gesture shelf, which is the card-style column of OnePlus in which you can access widgets, step counter and recently used apps. If you do not have to use it, which you can easily change this gesture.
Long press on the blank area of homescreen and select home settings. Here you will get the option of ‘Swipe Down to Access’ at number two and then you can change it from Shelf to notification and quick settings. Save this selection and use it.
7. Quick Access to Google Home Devices
OxygenoS 11 has redesigned Power Manu. Instead of giving buttons with small pop-ups for power, reset and screenshots, you are given oversize buttons with full-screen menu. If you have installed Gogam Home for a smart device in your home, you can add shortcuts to those devices to this power menu. It is going to be quite beneficial here, for example, you will not have to open the Google Home app especially to reduce the lights of your home.
