Fossil scientists have found footprints of dinosaurs at Dewar Form Querry in Oxfordshire. This site is being described as 16.6 million years old, which is of Middle Jurassic period. Scientists say (via) that both types of vegetarian and non -vegetarian, dinosaurs passed on this highway of this dinosaurs. The excavation was completed in June 2024. In which five major trackways came out. The largest track of these is more than 150 meters long.
Four of these tracks were made by soropods, which are extremely huge, long -neck vegetarian animals such as Sea -Saurus. These can be up to 18 meters long. The fifth trackway is said to be of Magalosaurus. Mangalosaurus can be up to 9 meters long. It is a non -vegetarian theropod known for its three fingers claws.
According to Micro-Paliantologist Professor Christie Edgar at Birmingham University, footprints tell about those moments of the life of that animal. It states that they were present there. This indicates what they were doing. It can also be ascertained how big they were and how fast they were moving. How they were communicating with each other and with their environment.
These dinosaurs’ footprints were first seen by Gary Johnson, who works in the mine. When Johnson saw unusual marks in the soil, he warned the researchers. After that, more than 100 scientists, volunteers and mined employees discovered 200 footprints here. This excavation lasted for a week.
