Tipster Instant Digital stated in a post on China’s microblogging platform Weibo that Samsung’s first triple-folded smartphone will be introduced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9. This smartphone can be called Galaxy G Fold. However, sales can be started a few months later to this tri-folded smartphone. China’s smartphone maker Huawei introduced the first triple-folded smartphone Mate XT Ultimate last year. This smartphone was made available for sale in the international market earlier this year.
Booking has started in India for Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 and some other products to be launched in this event. For these products, pre-booking can be done by paying Rs 2,000 through Samsung’s website, e-commerce companies Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung’s exclusive stores and selected retail stores. Customers, pre-booking these products, can get benefit of up to Rs 5,999 on the purchase of one of these Galaxy devices with early delivery.
Not much information has been given about Samsung’s triple-folded smartphone. However, the company showed some of its prototypes. Silicon-carbon batteries can be used in this smartphone. The silicon-carbon battery is considered better than the lithium-ion battery. The beginning of this smartphone can be sold in South Korea and China. Samsung plans to manufacture a limited number of triple-folded smartphones. This means that it will be available for a limited amount of sale. The price of this smartphone can range between $ 3,000 (about 2,56,100 rupees) to $ 3,500 (about Rs 2,98,800). In the last few years, sales of foldable smartphones have increased rapidly. Samsung has the highest stake in this segment.
