A team of scientists led by Andrea Bouturini has introduced research. Research states that micro -organisms will ever thrive in Acidalia Planitia of Mars. These must have been methanojans which were present below its surface. It has been written about it in the report of New Scientist. In fact, this team analyzed the data found under various missions on Mars and found that a sub-surface zone i.e. the world below the surface is also present on Mars. It is said to be present from 4.3 kilometers to 8.8 km deep.
It has been said about this layer that there must have been a compatible environment for the activities of microbes i.e. microbe. This layer is saved from the difficult conditions of the external environment. The water and geothemal heat marks present here in olden times can also be hidden. Both these things are known as important elements of life. Although it seems very far to find such bacteria on Mars, this research has given a hope.
Many orbitters and rover have gone on Mars. Researchers collected data from them. Scientists found that there is a ground called Acidalia Planitia on the Northern Hemisphere on Mars which is 3 thousand kilometers wide. Research about this says that there may be favorable conditions for the flourish of methanozons here. Mithinojans are bacteria that make methane. But to study deeply about them, scientists will have to dig miles below its surface, for which the highly advanced mission will have to be sent to Mars. Currently such technology is not available.
