Exoplanet toi-3261B is discovered by NASA with the help of its transiting exoplanet survey satellite. It is also called Tess. For this, the company is followingup and it is being monitored through Australia, Chile and South Africa based telescope. It was found in the search that this planet belongs to a rare category called Hot Neptunes. It is a category in which very small planets come, which revolve very close to their stars and whose time is very short. The year on Toi-3261 B is only 21 hours.
Scientists have tried to learn the history of this planet with advanced modeling technology. It can be 6.5 billion years old. This hot planet must have been a gas monster like Jupiter in the early stages, which would have later turned into another form. The density of TOI-3261B is said to be doubled by Neptune. It is believed that light particles would have flew over time from its environment and only heavy particles would have survived. This shows that there must have been a variety of elements in the atmosphere of this planet.
Scientists still have not been able to find out about its accurate composition. Astronomers will observe this planet through infrared lights to detect this. For this, NASA can take the help of its James Web Space Telescope. After this, it can be known which physical processes are going on on it so that this exoplanet remains so hot. At the moment, NASA scientists have started searching for further about it.
