The latest entry of the budget segment is the new Moto E7 Plus smartphone of Motorola’s budget e-series, which costs Rs 9,499 and it is equipped with some decent hardware. This provides a 6.5-inch display with HD+ resolution, on top of which the waterdrop notch. Moto E7 Plus Qualcomm works on Snapdragon 460 processor and is paired with 4 GB RAM. It is also good for day-to-day tasks to handle light-hearted gaming. It provides rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which is fast to unlock the device.
Motorola has used a 5,000mAh battery that lasts for a long time. There is no USB Type-C port and Moto E7 Plus has a micro-USB port. The bundled charger is only 10W and the device takes more than two hours to fully charge. You get only one dual camera setup on Moto E7 Plus. The primary has a 48-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Cameras are able to capture good photos in daylight. Some good low-light shots are also found in the Moto E7 Plus using night mode.
The Moto E7 Plus gives almost stock Android experience, which is not very common at this price. This phone is for you if you like a simple, easily used interface. It is easy to suggest the Moto E7 Plus with a price of Rs 9,499, but also keep an eye on the more powerful Moto G9, which has been available for sale at times for Rs 9,999.
Realme Narzo 10A
Realme Narzo 10A can be seen as an upgrade to Realme C3, as both these smartphone designs, macro camera and fingerprint sensor share a lot of hardware except the sensor. This phone comes with HD+ resolution and the size of the display is 6.5 inches. MediaTek Helio G70 chipset is available. The price of 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage of Narazo 10A is Rs 8,999 and 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variants are priced at Rs 9,999.
Narzo 10A provides 5,000mAh battery and provides good battery life. It gets a 12-megapixel primary camera, 2-megapixel macro camera and a triple camera setup with 2-megapixel depth sensor. Apart from this, its selfie camera is equipped with a 5-megapixel lens. The new design gets a new design compared to the Reality C3 in Names 10A.
Redmi 9
Redmi 9 has been launched as an upgrade of Redmi 8. Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 9 with a micro-USB port, which is downgrade from the USB Type-C port included in the Redmi 8 and is also disappointing. Redmi 9 gets a 6.53-inch HD+ display, which is equipped with waterdrop notch.
Xiaomi has chosen the MediaTek Helio G35 processor to power Redmi 9, which comes with 4 GB RAM. The Redmi 9 is equipped with a battery of 5,000mAh, but the box gets a 10W charger. While charging is slightly slow, the battery life is very good and you can get a backup of more than a day with regular use. Redmi 9 works on MIUI 12, based on Android 10. There are a lot of blotware on the smartphone and we also faced spam notifications while using it.
The Redmi 9 has a dual camera setup at the back, with a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It gets a 5-megapixel front camera for selfie. Redmi is capable of handling 9 days of day tasks, but heavy games cannot run very easily.
Realme C12 and Realme C15
Realme has recently launched two budget smartphones in its session. Realme C12 and Realme C15 are both very similar and come with similar dimensions. Both smartphones have a 6.5-inch HD+ display, which has a waterdrop notch. Both work on MediaTek Helio G 35 processor like Redmi 9.
Both Reality C12 and Reality C15 have 6,000mAh batteries and have micro-USB ports for charging. 10 watt charger is available with Reality C12, while C15 gets a better 18 watt charger. Realme C12 is available only with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, while C15 also gets an additional 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage option, although it is above our prescribed budget.
There are some differences in the camera setup in both Realme C12 and Realme C15. C12 has a 13-megapixel primary camera camera, 2-megapixel monochrome sensor and 2-megapixel macro camera. While C15 gets a 13-megapixel primary camera with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, 2-megapixel monochrome camera and 2-megapixel retro camera. For selfie, C12 gets a 5-megapixel sensor and 8-megapixel sensor in C15.
Redmi 9 Prime
Redmi 9 prime is similar to Redmi 9 and comes with a similar 6.53-inch display. However, instead of the HD+ panel present in Redmi 9, it gets full-HD+ panel.
Redmi 9 prime also has a powerful MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. This gaming processor is placed with 4 GB RAM and you get 64 GB or 128 GB storage, although our budget has 64 GB option. Redmi 9 runs on MIUI 11 based on prime Android 10 and is found in appropriate amounts of blotware.
The Redmi 9 Prime has a quad-camera setup, with a 13-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, 5-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The camera performance is average average. Thanks to the 5,020mAh battery, you will get a good battery life, but get 10W in the box, due to which charging is slightly slow.
