Please tell that this service is for those users who have booked tickets online. This facility is not available for eye tickets. Apart from this, boarding stations cannot be changed even in tickets purchased through option service.
Change such change station on IRCTC website …
1. Log in on IRCTC website. Use login ID and password.
2. Go to the new website of IRCTC to My account. Go to the My Transaction Options in the mouse over here. After this, choose the option with ‘booked ticket history’.
3. After this, choose the ticket in which the boarding point is to be changed. You will see different options at the bottom, such as PNR status, cancell tickets and others. There is also an option of change boarding points here. Click on it.
4. After this a pop window will open. In which the name of those stations will be from which you can choose your new boarding point. Here you change your boarding point.
Important things related to changing boarding station on IRCTC website …
1. It is possible to change the boarding station 24 hours before the scheduled time of opening the train.
2. According to the IRCTC website, if the passenger changes the boarding station once, then he will have no right to travel on that ticket from the earlier boarding point.
3. If the passenger is found traveling from the old boarding station itself, then they will have to pay the fare of the journey between that station to the new boarding point with fine.
4. According to the rules of IRCTC, changes are possible only once in the boarding station. This change is not possible in the current booked ticket.
