As updated on the official website, the new Jio Fiber plans now start from Rs 399 and go up to Rs 8,499. These include Rs 699, Rs 999, Rs 1,499, Rs 2,499 and Rs 3,499 plans. The plan of Rs 399 is completely new. Earlier, Jio Fiber’s plans started from Rs 699.
Apart from the new cheap base plan, one of the biggest changes is that now all the plan will get uniform upload and download speed. Earlier, Jio Fiber provided only 10 percent of the total speed of the plan as upload speed. Apart from this, Netflix has also been added to the portfolio of streaming apps and will get free access to Jio Fiber’s select plan. In addition, Jio claims to offer unlimited internet in the true sense with a plan of Rs 1,499 and low price. However, there is a 3300 GB of FUP limit, with your internet speed reduced after a limit.
Jio Fiber: New Plans vs old plans
The Rs 399 plan is a new Jio Fiber Bronze plan and it gives 30 Mbps speed with unlimited voice calling, but this plan does not include any subscription for streaming apps.
The new Rs 699 Jio Fiber Plan is now called “Silver Plan” and now the access to JioCinema and Jiosaavn apps has been abolished. Other benefits are the same as before and it comes with 100 Mbps speed.
The next plan in the series is called Jio Fiber Gold, which is priced at Rs 999 and it has Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Sonyliv, Voot, JioCinema, SunnXt, Shmaroomeomeoomeomeoomeomeoomeomerome, Lions Play, HOCHOI and ALTBALAJI A total of 11 streaming apps including free subscription are available. The speed of this plan is 150Mbps. It is not clear which of these apps will disappear, but it is likely that it will be Netflix. As Jio Fiber says that every month of these subscriptions is priced at Rs 1,100. Earlier, the company was offering a plan of Rs 849, known as a silver plan and had 100 Mbps speed and allowed to access streaming apps only three times. It used to come with an 800 GB FUP cap.
Reliance Jio Fiber has three more plans – Rs 2,499, Rs 3,499 and Rs 8499. The Rs 2,499 plan will now be called Diamond+ instead of Diamond and includes 500 Mbps speed, data up to 4,000 GB and access to all 12 streaming apps. The Rs 3,499 Platinum Plan, which was originally given at a price of Rs 3,999, still gives 1 GBPS speed of up to 7,500 GB and also provides access to all 12 streaming apps. Finally, there is a Titanium plan of Rs 8,499, which is the same as before and still provides 15,000 GB of data and 1 GBPS speed.
