Singh gave information about the ambitious schemes related to the country’s space in a press conference. He said, “Our own space station is going to be built. It will be called India Space Station. It will be made by 2035. We can land an Indian on the moon by 2040.” Regarding the country’s first Human Space Flight Mission Gaganyaan, Singh said that by the beginning of 2026, the first Indian Astronaut will travel to space under this mission. He said that in the last decade, India has launched 397 foreign satellites from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has a satellite launch center in Sriharikota.
Recently, the head of ISRO, S Somanath informed about postponing the Gaganyaan Mission for one year. He had told that several tests without crew would be flights before the country’s Astronaut mission in space. ISRO is taking full vigilance for the preparation of Gaganyaan Mission. After the launch of this mission, India will become the fourth country to send astronauts in space after the US, Russia and China. The detailed training proceduate of ISRO and adding fourth flight with an unscrupulous crew is also included in the reasons for avoiding this mission. In the Gaganyaan mission, one or two astronauts will be transported to a low meaning orbit about 400 kilometers above the earth.
Return from American Space Agency NASA’s Astronauts Sunita williams and butch Wilmore’s International Space Station (ISS) has been deferred till February next year due to a technical problem in Boeing’s Starliner Spacekraft. In June this year, Williams and his fellow Astronaut Wilmore arrived on ISS on a mission of only eight days. However, their return has to be postponed due to technical problems in Styeler. ISRO has also learned from this matter. ISRO has done several tests to increase the security of the Gaganyaan Mission. These include assessment of mechanisms and recovery systems to get out in emergency conditions.
