American Space Agency NASA plans to create a future aeroplane to change the outline of commercial aviation. The company has hired five companies for this and funded them $ 1.15 million (Rs 97 crore). The list of companies includes names like Boeing’s Aurora Flight Sciences, Electra, Georgia Institute of Technology, Aviation Startup Jetzero, and Pratt & Whitney. NASA has given this information through a press release.
Four companies and one university together will design and design these airplaces. Their concept designs have also been introduced on the official website of NASA. According to Aviation Start Jetzero’s head Romar Frazier, ‘NASA has always continued investment in new technology and is the main part of its innovation philosophy. The startup further stated that they are very excited to work on these concepts. Commercially, when these aircraft start, they will help reduce emissions.
NASA’s Advanced Air Vehicles Program Director Natery Madavan said in a press release that the program is aimed at identifying such promising solutions, will transform aviation and help in achieving more sustainable goals. Jetzero is known for its blended wing body aircraft design. The startup by NASA has received funding of more than $ 2 million. Through which it will work when the cryogenic liquid hydrogen is used as fuel source in future airplanes. Similarly, five companies will contribute differently.
