Sunita Williams will celebrate Thanksgiving in space 400km above the earth

Sunita Williams, an astronaut of Indian origin NASA, reached the Space Station (ISS) in June this year. His spacraft failed, due to which Sunita and her companions Buch Wilmore are staying there. Sunita is also enjoying her journey in space. She is going to celebrate Thanksgiving festival on ISS. Thanksgiving is celebrated in the US every year on the fourth Thursday of November, which is a day of blessings and crop gratitude. Sunita is ready to celebrate thanksgiving in space with ‘smoked turkey, mashed potatoes’.

According to news reports, on Wednesday, NASA shared a video related to him. In this, Sunita is saying that our crew wants to call people supporting us in addition to all its friends and family on earth.

Astronauts have reported that NASA has provided them with food items such as butter squash, apple, sardine and smoked turkey for thanksgiving. Apparently astronauts are ready for a magnificent feast.

Sunita is on ISS since June

NASA and Boeing launched the Starline Spacecraft in June. It was Boeing’s first human mission. Two astronauts- Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore rode in the spacraft and reached the ISS. However, after reaching ISS, problems started coming in Starlineer and Sunita and Buch had to stay there.

NASA has told that Sunita and Butch will now return to Earth with Crew-9 (Crew9) mission. The mission has reached ISS and may return to Earth in February or March next year. This means that Sunita and Buch’s return to Earth will be able to be done by February or March 2025.
