That was such a situation that NASA started getting signals on S-band instead of normal ex-band. When NASA started receiving them, the spacecraft started getting data again. NASA says that the S-band is much weaker than the X-band, so he was trying to start the X-Band Radio Communication System for a long time. The interesting thing is that NASA has not used S-Band since 1981. This means that the agency has received signals from Voyager 1 to another way after 43 years.

Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 spacraft were designed to explore the planets and Saturn. Both spacrafts completed their work well. Voyager 2 was also close to Uranus and Neptyun in 1989.
