ISRO has a successful history and experience for launching satellite. ISRO has transported many satellites into space and has also launched satellites to other countries. ISRO is known for launching satellite in a low budget. Despite this, the GSAT-N2 Communications Satellite was launched from the US.
Actually, the GSAT-N2 satellite weighs 10360 pounds i.e. about 4700 kg. It has been transported to a class in space, which is located 22,236 miles (35,786 km) above our earth. According to India Today reports, no Indian rocket can take such a heavy payload so far, so ISRO selected Falcon-9 rocket, which is a popular rocket of spacex and has reached many missions to their destination.
Even before this, ISRO has launched its heavy satellites from abroad. European company Arianspace usually launched it, but Falkan-9 rocket has been selected for the first time. As every time it happens, the first stage of the Spacex Falkan-9 rocket returned to the Earth after 8.5 minutes after the booster lift off. This was the 19th mission of this booster.
What will work GSAT-N2
According to reports, when GSAT-N2 starts work, internet connectivity can be provided to remote areas. People will also get internet services in flights.
